Appointments
If an appointment is required for delivery, a charge of
$15.00 will be added to the freight bill. This includes
any deliveries which must be made by a pre-arranged time.
Smooth Freight Ltd. will not undertake any liability for costs
arising from missed appointments or late deliveries.
Storage charges will apply when appointments are not given
within 24 hours.
Claims
Liability for cargo claims $50.00 and under will not be
accepted.
COD Service
7% of COD amount; minimum $25.00
Dangerous Goods
$10.00 per shipment
Density
Weight is assessed at 15lbs. per cubic foot or actual weight
whichever is greater. Shipments occupying more than 10
linear feet of trailer space will be assessed at 1500lbs. per
linear foot or actual weight whichever is greater. When
due to the shape or packaging of a shipment, other freight
cannot be loaded on or around the shipment; the height and/or
width used in calculating the cube with be 8 feet.
